Conveyor Repair Compounds

Normac polyurethane repair systems fix belt cover damage on site — mixed in minutes, back in service in as little as an hour, without vulcanising.

UR-60SLF — self-levelling belt cover repair

Normac UR-60SLF is a self-levelling, room-temperature fast-curing polyurethane for permanent surface repairs on conveyor belt covers and supporting parts. It is 100% solids with zero VOCs, and with the correct Normac primer it bonds to standard belt rubber, polyurethane and PVC belting. The dual-cartridge system (400 ml manual or 1500 ml powered dispenser) with static-mix nozzles dispenses on-ratio every time — no weighing, no guesswork.

UR-90CN — complete belt repair kits

UR-90CN is a two-component, low-viscosity liquid polyurethane engineered for rapid room-temperature curing — a simple, dependable way for maintenance teams to rebuild or patch belt covers and components. Formulated with a low-free prepolymer for improved handling safety, it cures harder than UR-60SLF (88 ±5 Shore A) with high tensile, tear and abrasion resistance that stands up to scraper contact. With surface preparation and the specified primer it adheres to belt rubber, polyurethane, PVC belting and steel.

Complete kits (300 g and 750 g) include resin, hardener, primer, solvent, mixing spatula, spreader, gloves, brush and cloth — everything needed for a professional repair with minimal downtime. Working life is 2–3 minutes, buff after 1 hour, functional cure in 1–2 hours.

Which product for which repair?

  • UR-60SLF: flat, horizontal cover repairs where a smooth self-levelled finish matters — gouges, scrape damage, top-cover restoration.
  • UR-90CN: trowel-applied patches and rebuilds, including where a harder-wearing 88 Shore A repair or steel adhesion is needed.

Why choose Normac repair systems

  • Back to service in as little as one hour — repairs happen between shifts, not shutdowns
  • On-ratio dual-cartridge mixing (UR-60SLF) removes application error
  • Proven primer system for rubber, PU, PVC, steel and concrete substrates
  • Broad service window (−56°C to +93°C) and chemical resistance across pH 3–11

Frequently asked questions

How soon can the belt run after a repair?

UR-60SLF reaches functional cure in about 1 hour at 23°C; UR-90CN in 1–2 hours. Both reach ultimate cure at 24 hours.

What surface preparation is needed?

Clean with solvent, mechanically roughen (24–36 grit) with 45° bevelled edges, then apply the matched Normac primer. We supply the full repair guide with every order.

Can it be applied in cold weather?

Application is specified between 10°C and 45°C with the resin preconditioned above 15°C; outside that range cure times vary — talk to us about your conditions.
