The STARK SF is a solid aluminium frame-style vulcanising press built for quick, easy operation in the harshest mining environments. Two light, rugged aluminium frames form the upper and lower portions of the press, with end carry handles on smaller models making it easy to manoeuvre into splice position.
The innovative flexible platen — extruded plank construction with silicone heating elements and durable composite insulation — contours to the belt’s irregularities, ensuring even heat distribution and uniform splice quality. A pressure bag delivers uniform pressure across the splice surface, and quick cooling is achieved by channelling water through the extruded platen, cutting turnaround time between splices.

The SF frame press suits belts where a single-frame press covers the splice; for wider belts and steel cord splices requiring modular traverse bars, see the STARK sectional vulcaniser press. We’ll size the right press from your belt width and splice length.
Fabric ply belts, with bias options of 0°, 17° and 22° to match your splice design.
