The Kombo Washer is an interconnected washer-and-nut assembly that completely seals both the liner bolt hole and the thread, stopping slurry fines migrating up the thread and seizing the nut. A non-stick elastomer with conical rings compresses into the thread and hole, while an all-steel prevailing-torque lock-nut maintains clamp load over the entire reline interval — tight, clean and leak-free, with reduced risk of liner failure.
Australian designed and owned, precision-manufactured in Germany by Flaig + Hommel, and available in metric and imperial sizes. The one-piece design is engineered for 5+ reuses and is future-proofed for robotic installation and removal.
KCGM (Kalgoorlie Super Pit): approximately A$483,705 saved per reline on a 756-washer SAG mill, with under 1% attrition and no leaks. Other operations have recorded $500k+ savings per event.
Field use shows 3–4 hours saved on a 750-bolt reline — installation and removal take about 10 seconds each, because the seal won’t stick to the mill surface.

The Kombo Washer is engineered for five or more relines. KCGM recorded less than 1% attrition across a full 756-washer SAG mill reline.
Yes — the compressing elastomer seals imperfect holes and uneven surfaces, which is where conventional washers typically start leaking.
