General wear protection
For abrasion and impact duty, the natural rubber families do the work: R-Line 38 and 40 premium linings give maximum thickness for the hardest-wearing transfer points, while MSI 38, 40, 40 UV and 60 cover wet slurry, mixed wet/dry abrasion, outdoor UV exposure and high-wear industrial applications. Mill Backing grade cushions behind mill liners and wear plates. MSI grades bond through a specially formulated Neoprene CN layer for secure adhesion to metal; R-Line grades come pre-buffed for superior adhesive installation.
Chemical, heat and specialty grades
Where oil, chemicals or heat drive the failure mode: R-Line NBR and MSI NBR nitrile grades resist oil, petroleum products and water; MSI CR Neoprene adds high-temperature and flame resistance; and Butyline butyl rubber provides outstanding impermeability to gases and acids for chemical processing, tanks and piping. For food processing, Food Grade 40 is FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 compliant for direct food contact.

How do I choose between MSI and R-Line grades?
Both are premium wear compounds — the practical differences are bonding system (CN layer vs pre-buffed) and duty focus. Send us the application and we’ll specify the grade and thickness.
Can lining rubber be supplied cut to size?
Yes — linings are supplied to suit your panels and installation method, with pre-buffed surfaces or CN bonding layers ready for adhesion to metal.
What about combined chemical and abrasion duty?
That’s usually a nitrile (NBR) or Neoprene (CR) grade — both carry solid abrasion resistance alongside their chemical properties.
